Dr. Emma Stodel, Learning 4 Excellence
Dr. Stodel is an educator dedicated to improving performance and facilitating excellence through eLearning. She has successfully developed award winning eLearning solutions for the provincial and federal governments, universities, the healthcare sector, national sport organizations, and other public and private organizations both within and outside Canada. Much of her work has been in the healthcare field, where she has developed educational modules for medical students, residents, and physicians, as well as allied health professionals. While being integrally involved in the design and development of eLearning modules at the grassroots level, Dr. Stodel also supports organizations looking to improve their learning strategy. At uOttawa she was integrally involved in the design and implementation of Canada’s first competency-based medical education program for anesthesia, which was recognized with the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists Innovation Award (2015), supported UGME through the redesign of their MD program, and collaborated on the design of DFM’s eFieldNotes.
