The Academic Support Process website was conceived and developed by:

Dr. Alison Eyre is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine and has been the Director of Foreign Medical Graduates for the Department since 2004. She works as a family physician at Centretown Community Health Centre.

Dr. Mary Johnston is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa and has been the Director of Evaluation for the Department of Family Medicine since 2004. Prior to this she worked in northern Ontario with First Nations groups, based in Sioux Lookout. Dr. Johnston completed her Masters in Clinical Science from Western University with a focus on medical education.

Dr. Madeleine Montpetit is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa and the Unit Post Graduate Director for the Riverside Family Medicine Teaching Unit. She has been involved in medical education at both the Undergraduate and Post Graduate levels since 1991 in a variety of clinical settings, including rural practices in Northwestern Ontario, inner city Community Health Centres, and Academic Teaching Units.

Development Team

Instructional design: Dr. Emma Stodel, Learning 4 Excellence
Dr. Stodel is an eLearning Consultant and the Founder and Principal of Learning 4 Excellence. Dr. Stodel has developed online training programs for the federal government, universities, and private and not-for-profit organizations. Much of her recent work has been in the healthcare field, where, in addition to this project her work includes the development of ePhysicianHealth.com, an online health and wellness tool for physicians; working with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa to develop the online portion of their new undergraduate medical education curriculum; and developing online education to promote collaborative practice among healthcare providers in the areas of long-term care, palliative care, and pain management.
